Vladimir Nikolaevich Peshkov (January 11, 1911, village Gribanovka, Tambov Province — September 8, 1941) — flag navigator of the aviation squadron of the 49th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 15th Army of the Northwestern Front, senior lieutenant. Hero of the Soviet Union. He was born on January 11, 1911 in the village of Gribanovka (now the urban-type settlement of Gribanovsky, Voronezh Region) in a peasant family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1939. In 1934 he graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology. He worked at a factory in Voronezh. He served in the Red Army in 1934-1935 and since 1937. He graduated from the military aviation school of pilots. He participated in the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940. By March 1940, Senior Lieutenant V. Peshkov, the flag navigator of the aviation squadron of the 49th Fighter Aviation Regiment, had flown 99 combat missions behind enemy lines to scout and attack military installations, and shot down three enemy aircraft in aerial battles.
