The original sheet of the Soviet calendar, dated June 30, 1941. On this day, units of the 1st Mountain Division of the Wehrmacht, as well as the Nachtigall battalion, along with units of the 1st battalion of the Brandenburg 800 Abwehr regiment, entered Lviv, abandoned by Soviet troops on June 26, 1941, and took control of the radio station and a number of key facilities in the city. On the evening of June 30, 1941, Major Zur Aikern and Captain Koch arrived in Lviv. The meeting was attended by the future mayor Polyansky and other prominent Ukrainians of the city, including Stetsko. Koch, with the consent of Zur Aikern, took the floor to clarify the situation. He stressed that "There is a war going on, it is not the time to engage in politics. Only the German Wehrmacht can give orders. The requirement of time is to work and obey" Prof. Koch ended with the words "Sieg Heil!" addressed to the Fuhrer, joined by the chairman and the assembly. After the representatives of the Wehrmacht left the hall Stetsko read out Bandera's statement on the proclamation of Ukrainian statehood, that this new state entity would "shoulder to shoulder" with the Reich to wage war against the Soviet Union. Here is the text of the Act:
The Ukrainian National Revolutionary Army, which is being created on Ukrainian soil, will continue to fight against By the Allied German Army against the Moscow occupation for a Sovereign Catholic State and a new order throughout the world.
Long live the Sovereign, United Ukrainian State! Long live the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists! Long live the head of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian People Stepan Bandera!
