The 11th Separate Guards Tank Brandenburg Red Banner, Order of Kutuzov Breakthrough Regiment is a military unit of the Armed Forces of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War. The abbreviated name is the 11th Guards otp. It was formed in October 1942 on the basis of the Directive of the People's Commissariat of Defense No. 1104913 dated 12.10.1942 at the Moscow ABT Center (Kosterovo — Noginsk) on the basis of the 71st Tank Brigade. On February 13, 1944, by the GSHKA Directive No. Org/3/305512 dated 02/13/1944, it was reorganized into the 11th guards heavy Tank Regiment. According to the staff, the regiment consisted of four tank companies (each with 5 vehicles), a company of machine gunners, a technical support company, a management platoon, a sapper and household platoon and a regimental medical center (PMP). Each regiment was to have 90 officers, 121 non-commissioned officers and 163 enlisted men. In total, 374 personnel and 21 IS 2 tanks, including the commander's tank, 3 British Universal armored personnel carriers and 1 BA-64.
In the Nevel operation of the 11th guards, the OTPP participated on the left wing of the Kalinin Front as part of the 4th shock Army throughout the operation, promptly subordinating to the 143rd tank brigade. At the end of 1943, as part of the Baltic Front in the Polotsk-Vitebsk operation. From January to March 1944, he was on re-formation in the Tesnitsky camps near Tula. In these camps, in the period from 1943 to 1945, many tank units were being reorganized, such as: the 20th Tank Corps, the 48th separate Guards Tank Regiment of the breakthrough. In 1944, he participated in the Proskurov-Chernivtsi offensive operation, liberated Ternopil. In 1945, he participated in the Vistula-Oder and East Pomeranian operations, ended the war after the Battle of Berlin.
