In the distant 1857, developed a "code of signals for the merchant fleet". So, 18 flags of this document is actively used by such countries as Britain, Canada, USA and France. In 1887, the "System code of signals for the merchant fleet" has been renamed to the name of "international code of signals" (MCC), preserved to our days. It is used in many countries of the world, but lately, the Navy increasingly is replaced by a lever alarm light signaling. For example, the Russian Navy flag the alarm system completely replaced the light in 2012. International code of Signals (MSS) is a reference guide divided into three separate blocks. In the first major block consists of 26 alphabetical flags, the second block presents the ten digital flags and the third smallest unit is replacing three of the flag.
