Professor Aksenov Ivan Yakovlevich (1908-1999), Assistant to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR V.V. Molotov in the early 1950s, later head of the Transport Department of the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for Science and Technology. During the Great Patriotic War, he was the head of the technical department of the Central Committee of the People's Commissariat of Railways (NKPS) under the direct supervision of People's Commissar L. M. Koganovich. In the last years of his life, he taught at the Moscow Automobile and Road Institute (MADI). He is the author of a large number of textbooks on transport and books on the topic "Unified Transport System".
