Vladimir Mikhailovich Dyachkov (August 8, 1904, Tiflis — February 2, 1981, Moscow) was a Soviet track and field athlete, coach and scientist in the field of sports pedagogy. Older brother — Boris Dyachkov (1902-1986) — track and field athlete and coach. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1939), Honored Coach of the USSR (1957). He played for Tiflis (until 1924), Moscow; army sports clubs.10-time USSR champion in pole vault, high jump and 110 m hurdles (1924-1945). He coached many Soviet high-altitude athletes, including Olympic champions Robert Shavlakadze and Valery Brumel. Coach of the USSR national team at the OI 1960, 1964, 1968.
