Doktorov Zusman Lvovich (1906-1948) was a Leningrad painter, graphic artist, lithographer, and poster artist. He graduated from the Leningrad Academy of Fine Arts in painting. Before the war, during the war years and for a short time after the war, Doktorov was the head of the Leningrad Publishing house Iskusstvo. Many art books, posters, and postcards were published under his editorship. During the war years, he participated in the creation of propaganda posters; he executed a number of them together with the artist Nikolai Pilshchikov ("In Heaven, on Earth and at Sea" 1941, "Fascism is a bloody monster. Beat him without mercy!" 1941). Posters of Z. L. Doktorov are kept in the collections of the Scientific Library of the Russian Academy of Arts.
