Description

Quite a rare poster in almost perfect collectible condition. Published by the Political Directorate of the Baltic Fleet. The format is 345*255 mm. Author-Treskin A.V. Guarantee of authenticity.

History

Treskin Anatoly Vladimirovich (1905-1986). Soviet painter, graphic artist, restorer. Member of the USSR Council of Artists. People's Artist of the RSFSR. Winner of the State Prize of the RSFSR in the field of architecture (1972). He graduated from the Art and Industrial technical school at VKhUTEMAS (teachers V. N. Kuchumov, V. A. Kuznetsov and D. I. Kiplik). Gold medalist of the Leningrad Academy of Arts. In the pre-war years, he was engaged in the restoration of picturesque decor in the Shuvalov, Yusupov, and Stroganov palaces. He painted workers ' clubs, palaces of culture, and sanatoriums. He was engaged in easel painting; he painted portraits, genre paintings, landscapes and still lifes. During the Great Patriotic War, he remained in the besieged Leningrad, performing patriotic posters. The author of the posters: "Baltiets! Repair of ships-a combat mission" (1943), "Assault by Baltic pilots of the fascist column" (1943), "Daring attack of two boats" (1943), "Landing of the Baltic on the island of Elmholm" (1943)," Battering ram of pilot Krotevich "(1944)," Strikes of Baltic pilots on enemy ships "(1944), " Let's fulfill the order of Comrade Stalin! We will clear the Leningrad region from the German invaders" (1944). After the war, he participated in the restoration of monumental paintings of the Mariinsky and Maly Opera Theaters, the halls of the Hermitage and the Russian Museum, the park pavilions and palace halls of Oranienbaum, Tsarskoye Selo, the cathedrals of Novgorod, Pskov and Suzdal. He led the restoration of the paintings of the Pavlovsk Palace (1950-1970). Paintings by A.V. Treskin are in museums in St. Petersburg and private collections, and print posters are in the collection of the Russian National Library (St. Petersburg).
