A very rare naval pistol on the Russian market, intended for arming soldiers and sailors of shipboard boarding parties, in almost excellent condition for an object of its age and degree of rarity. Originally manufactured as a pistol of the 1809 model, however, in the 1830s a number of changes were made to its design: the bed was shortened by 90 m and became a semi-lodge; the barrel was now secured with a stud passing through the walls of the lodge and the lower eyelet of the metal tide on the barrel; 2 metal tides with holes were welded at the muzzle, to which an iron rotary L-shaped bar was hung with a screw. The opposite end of the bar has a thickening with a round hole through which the front end of the ramrod passes. The back side of the ramrod is fixed with a steel plate with a curved front part holding the ramrod in the false socket. The alteration, according to the decree of Nicholas I, was carried out by the Tula Arms Factory, provided that the steel fixing hook was kept on the knife, which was intended to be placed in the hole on the blade of the sword belt of a member of the boarding team. Guarantee of authenticity. A museum-level rarity!
