The pistol model is based on the French Delvigne system. It was introduced by Order of the Minister of War No. 88 dated September 14, 1849. There is uncertainty about the designation of the model of pistols, their first drawings date back to 1844, the patterns were made in 1848, in museum attributions the sample is erected by 1852 by the time the construction tables were approved, sometimes referred to as the 1846 sample. Such weapons could have been used by officers of the Russian army during the Crimean War of 1853-1856.
