Russian Russian Empire A very rare and interesting find of our store is a small bronze cannon that was installed in rowlocks on Russian river vessels, such as lodi and strugi, during the period of the Russian Empire and the Russian Empire. The main function of the rowlock guns was to defend and attack in river conditions. The cannon got its name from the rowlock, a device on board the ship for an oar, into which the cannon pin was inserted. It refers to naval artillery and was often used by Cossacks during the development of Siberia or by merchants to protect river caravans, for example, on the Volga. In the 17th century, such guns were often used on riverboats to protect against robbers and attacks on enemy vessels. The total length of the cannon is about 35 cm. Guarantee of authenticity.
