Sweets of the Apricot trading house at the beginning of the XX century were enjoyed by every second inhabitant of the Russian Empire. The assortment of the factory was huge — 230 items: caramel "Cancer necks" and "Duck nose for cough", marmalade "Lilliput" and "Tsarsky", coffee, cocoa, marshmallows, pies, marzipans, gingerbread, cookies, compotes, jam, pastilles, chestnuts in sugar. Some products were unique, for example, "yeralashi" (boxes of assorted sweets), chocolate hares and Santa Claus, as well as the progenitors of kinder surprises — candy boxes with nested toys, postcards, mosaics. The Abrikosovs were the first in Russia to master the technology of preserving fruits, berries and vegetables, began the production of glazed fruits, marshmallows, cough sweets. One of the first steam engines in Russia was launched at the factories of the trading house. Almost the first light bulbs in the country lit up here. The workers of the Apricots had their own hospitals, canteens and comfortable dormitories. The factory's productivity was unique for that time, as was the quality of the products. There were legends about Apricot candies. Four generations worked hard to create a brand, but still a greater contribution to the development of the family business was made by Alexey Abrikosov — an innovator, a humanist, an excellent manager and an excellent family man.
