A very interesting and rare find of our store is a fragment of embroidery, probably originally part of the lining of a carriage or the interior of an Officer's Assembly or the barracks of the Izmailovsky Regiment's Life Guards. The image of the coat of arms of the Russian Empire with the St. Andrew's Cross— saltire, which is embroidered with horizontal shading, i.e. showing the blue color in the shrapnel system, as well as the presence of laurel and oak branches under it, speaks about the belonging of embroidery to the Guard. These symbols have been used in the oldest regiments of the Guard since Peter the Great, and the red background color indicates membership in the Izmailovo regiment, which is determined by the Fourier badges of the XVIII century). The size is 440*460 mm. In a modern decorative frame. Guarantee of authenticity.
