First of all, it is necessary to clarify that in relation to the drawing on the buttons, "grenada" is considered as a stylized image of a "flaming hand grenade" (a metal ball filled with an explosive mixture). Specifically, on the buttons, grenadines were depicted as "one-pointed" (with one flame at the top). It is quite obvious that the Grenadier regiments were the first to receive button-down grenadiers. On December 16, 1829, "all military ranks were ordered to have buttons on their uniforms, coats and overcoats, with a convex image of Grenada and on it the numbers assigned to the shako coat of arms."  On December 26, 1829, identical buttons with a grenada and a number on it were assigned to the Carabinieri regiments, which received the same uniform as the grenadier units.  At the same time, on December 26, 1829, the buttons with the grenada and the regiment number were received by the soldiers of the Cuirassier regiments.  The same date is the date of the order by which the Fourstadt ranks (baggage units before 1864) of the Grenadier Corps are fitted with buttons "with a convex image of Grenada and on it a number indicating the number assigned to the battalion." The letter "L" was placed in the Lithuanian building. Simultaneously with other units, on December 26, 1829, buttons with the "image of Grenada on one fire", without numbers, were installed for all combatant ranks of the gendarme regiment and gendarme divisions.  In March 1846, the newly established Finnish Rifle Battalion was awarded buttons with grenadines.  Since October 11, 1854, buttons with a convex image of Grenada have appeared on military medical uniforms.
