Bronze, stamping. The safety is good. Intended for the lower ranks, RIA. Beautiful high relief numbers. The guarantee of authenticity.
Buttons with numbers and alphanumeric images were entered in the units of the Russian army in December 1829. Not yet managed to find any information about the specific differences of buttons with the same numbers belonging to different parts of the army. Graphic figures (with tail, no tail, straight, angle, etc...) can hardly be used for attribution, as some differences could make the manufacturers of buttons. In addition, during the period of use of buttons with numbers repeatedly changed the numbering of parts, which further obfuscates the process of determining. In June 1862, most likely due to significant (more than 2 times) increase in the number of army regiments, numbers and letters on the buttons were abolished and the uniforms were sewn smooth buttons without a pattern. The button could wear the lower ranks of the following regiments and units of the RIA:
from 1829 to 1833 — the 32nd Jaeger regiment
from 1829 to 1833 — Saratov infantry regiment
from 1833 to 1835 — Bialystok infantry regiment
from 1833 to 1835 — Vilnius Jaeger regiment
from 1835 to 1856 — the Suzdal infantry regiment
from 1835 to 1856 — (Kazan) Jaeger of His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich regiment
from 1856 to 1862 — the Kremenchug infantry regiment
from 1858 to 1862 — the 32nd of the Caucasian Linear battalion
