An original pair of binoculars designed to supply graduates of infantry and cavalry military schools of the Russian Imperial Army in 1909 at the state expense. The binoculars are based on the 6x21 Telex civilian binoculars, which were put into production in August 1907. The military equivalent of binoculars is the D.F.6 model. The officer's Rifle School was re-ordered to the company "K.Zeiss." In total, about 2,200 such binoculars were supplied, and about 300 more old-style 8x20 binoculars were purchased from the Obukhov Plant at the expense of the total required quantity. 8x20 binoculars manufactured by NEO were issued to artillery officers who were trained in infantry schools and were assigned to artillery units attached to infantry and cavalry units. This order of the 6x21 model became the only one for graduates of RIA military schools — since 1910 they began to receive more advanced "night" or "marine" (according to the classification accepted at that time) 6x30 binoculars.
