The original pre-revolutionary settlement token (tavern stamp / settlement mark), used for internal financial calculations, time tracking, services or the delivery of products. This copy is a typical example of a private monetary surrogate (bonds) in pre-revolutionary Russia. The item is in an authentic collector's condition, without mechanical interventions and restorations. The token is made of copper by simple utilitarian stamping. The surface is covered with a dense layer of the original "century-old" brown patina with characteristic foci of natural green oxides (malachite patina), which emphasizes the considerable age and authenticity of the artifact.
The composition of the sign is characterized by a strict, pragmatic design. The token has a rectangular (close to square) shape with uneven, rounded edges. The field is divided into two text zones enclosed in frames. In the upper frame, a large denomination is minted in the center — the number "1." with a dot. In the lower, more elongated frame, the abbreviation "MONTH" (Month) is embossed in relief, indicating the temporary or accounting nature of the brand.
On the reverse of the token there is a smooth field with traces of natural wear. The texture of antique copper is clearly visible on the metal, as well as noble traces of use, confirming the solid age of the object.
An interesting and original exhibit of historical value for researchers of pre-revolutionary life, numismatics and collectors of rare payment tokens, tavern stamps and regional bonds. The Russian Empire.
