Bronze, stamping. The original sign is in very good collector's condition. The obverse repeats the design of the medal "For Bravery" of the period of the Provisional Government. It shows St. George the Victorious on a horse, who pierces a dragon with a spear. The reverse contains the four-line inscription "TO THE FIGHTERS FOR THE MOTHERLAND AND FREEDOM IN 1917." Next to the inscription are the branches of an oak, laurel and palm tree tied with a ribbon. Along the bottom edge is the brand of the manufacturer: "Fabr. D. Kuchkin Moscow". This commemorative badge was issued in 1917 in Russia after the February Revolution during the period of the Provisional Government. Such tokens were massively worn by revolutionary-minded citizens and the military to show their support for the new democratic changes in the country. Rare. Guarantee of authenticity.
