Insignia of the Order of St. Anna (Anninskaya Medal), No. 336649

A historical badge of distinction awarded to lower military ranks (non-commissioned officers and soldiers) for many years of impeccable service or for special non-combat exploits. The object has survived to this day in an honest collector's condition, has retained the clarity of the relief and has not been subjected to restoration interventions. The sign is made of silver (it was gilded in the original) by the method of high-quality coinage. The metal has a deep natural patina and characteristic traces of time, emphasizing the solid age and authenticity of the artifact.

The composition of the sign is characterized by a concise and strict design. The base is a flat silver circle with a protruding welt. In the center of the obverse (obverse) is a depressed equi-pointed cross with expanding blades (the Order of the Cross of St. Anne). Red sealing wax was initially poured into the recesses of the cross and the ring surrounding it. The upper part of the badge is crowned with a relief imperial crown, smoothly turning into an all-stamped eyelet for attachment to the order ribbon.

There is a similar indented circular outline on the reverse of the sign. In the central part there is a stamped unique serial number No. 336649, according to which the identity of the awarded hero can be identified in the archives of the Chapter of the Russian Orders.

It is a significant monument of the national military history and faleristics of the imperial period, representing high collectible and cultural value.
