Description

Bronze, enamel, silvering, stamping. The original regimental badge is in good collector's condition. The sign is an equi-pointed cross with flaring ends, covered with black enamel and having a silver rim around the edge. The shape of the sign is based on the famous Kulm cross. In the very center, a gilded Imperial crown is superimposed, under which are intertwined monograms of emperors Paul I (the founder of the regiment, the letter "P") and Nicholas II (during whose reign the sign was established, the letter "H"). The badge was highly approved on June 20, 1909 in commemoration of the centenary of the regiment (which has been leading its history since 1796). There were versions of the badge for both officers (made of silver with gold plating) and for lower ranks (made of bronze and base metals). The set includes the original twist of the company "E. Cortman." Guarantee of authenticity.
