Bronze, silvering, stamping. The size is 67*46 mm. The composition of the sign is an oval wreath of oak and laurel branches under the Imperial Crown. In the center are crossed fire axes and a fire helmet, and at the bottom are the letters "I.R.P.O." and the monogram of the patron saint. The silver version of the badge was intended for members of the Board of the IRPO and the heads of fire brigades. Guarantee of authenticity.
The Imperial Russian Fire Society (IRPO) was formed in 1892 on the initiative of Count A. D. Sheremetev and became the main organization that developed voluntary and professional fire protection in the empire. The patrons of the society were members of the imperial family. The badge was established by Emperor Nicholas II on June 8, 1901. It served as a badge of belonging to the society, as well as a reward for bravery in fires and immaculate service. Until 1909-1912, the monogram "VA" was placed on the signs in honor of the first chairman, Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich. After his death, the duties passed to Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna, and in 1912 a sign with the superimposed monogram "M" was approved.
