An original and quite rare medal in good collector's condition. This award was established by Emperor Alexander I by decree dated February 5, 1813 in honor of Russia's victory over Napoleon's army. Silver, stamping. In the center of the obverse is the "All-seeing Eye" (the eye in a triangle), surrounded by a radiant glow. In the lower part of the semicircle there is an inscription "1812". On the back of the medal is a four-line inscription: "NOT TO US, NOT TO US, BUT TO YOUR NAME." This is an indirect quote from The Psalter (Ps. 113:9), emphasizing that the victory was won by God's providence. The silver medal was awarded to all participants in the fighting, including soldiers, militia and even medical officers who took part in the battles before January 1, 1813. It was worn on a blue St. Andrew's ribbon. Traces of ear repair. Guarantee of authenticity.
