Badge "For excellent rifle shooting" of the II degree

The original military qualification badge awarded to the lower ranks of the Russian Imperial Army (RIA) for outstanding achievements in rifle training. The item is in good, honest collector's condition, without restorations. The sign is made of bronze (yellow metal) by high-quality artistic stamping. The surface has retained a clear relief of details, as well as a noble natural age-old patina with characteristic traces of use.

The composition of the sign has a concise and expressive round shape, made in the form of a target with concentric circles. Two crossed three-line Mosin rifles of the 1891 model are superimposed on the target, the barrels and butts of which extend beyond the circle. Around the circumference of the sign is a wide relief ribbon with an Old Russian inscription in convex font: "FOR EXCELLENT SHOOTING." In the upper part of the target, between the barrels of the rifles, the embossed letter "U" is stamped, which indicates that this issue belongs to the Junker military schools of the Russian Empire.

On the reverse of the sign there is a deep pronounced counter-relief, characteristic of stamped production at the beginning of the 20th century. The metal on the reverse side retains an authentic patina and natural oxides, confirming the solid age and absolute authenticity of the object. The fastening elements (lugs for the sewing method of wearing or the remains of the presser feet) correspond to the technological type of production of this period.

A historically significant, authentic copy of the First World War era, which will become a worthy addition to the collection of royal phaleristics, regimental badges and awards of the Russian Imperial Army.
