Bronze, gilding, enamel. The original badge is in good collector's condition. Made by the Edward company, the Supplier of the Imperial Court. The owner of the badge was an officer of the 85th Vyborg Infantry Regiment of His Imperial Royal Majesty the Emperor of the German King of Prussia Wilhelm II. The sign was officially approved on December 8, 1910. In the center of the sign, crossed axes and the numbers "17" and "00" are depicted on red enamel, indicating the date of the regiment's foundation — July 25, 1700. Four imperial crowns are located on the edges of the cross. There were two types of badges: officer's (covered with red enamel, as in the photo) and for lower ranks (without enamel). The regiment was formed in 1700 in Novgorod as the Ivan Kulom Infantry regiment. Over its long history, it has changed names several times, becoming Vyborg for the first time in 1712. Since 1888, the chief of the regiment was the German Emperor Wilhelm II, whose name the regiment bore until the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. The set includes an original leather case with gold stitching from the manufacturer. Guarantee of authenticity.
