Silver, stamping. The diameter is 28 mm. On the obverse — in a circle: "B.M. NICHOLAS II IMP. AND THE AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIA.", inside the circular inscription is a shoulder image of the sovereign; on the reverse in the left part there are palm, oak and laurel branches tied with a ribbon. On the right is a horizontal inscription in pre-revolutionary spelling: "FOR DILIGENCE." Guarantee of authenticity.
The medal "For Diligence" ("FOR DILIGENCE") was established in December 1801 by Emperor Alexander I, which was initially awarded to civilians who provided various services to the government, later to lower military ranks for long-term service. On May 26, 1915, Emperor Nicholas II approved the Regulations of the Committee of Ministers on changing the sample and size of gold and silver medals "For Diligence". The sample was lowered for medals. The size of the neck medals was reduced to 45 mm, and the chest medals to 28 mm. Since 1916, medals have been minted from yellow metal instead of gold, and from white metal instead of silver. The letters "J. M." (yellow metal) and "B. M." (white metal) began to be placed on the reverse of these medals. Now the chest and neck "gold" medals have become known as the 1st category, and the "silver" medals - the 2nd category.
According to Article 676 of the Code of Laws of the Russian Empire, the awarding of these medals "is requested in the following sequence: silver breastplate on the Stanislavsky ribbon; silver breastplate on the Anninsky ribbon; gold breastplate on the Stanislavsky ribbon; gold breastplate on the Anninsky ribbon; silver neckband on the Stanislavsky ribbon; silver neckband on the Anninsky ribbon; silver neckband on the Vladimir ribbon." ribbon; neck silver on the Alexander ribbon; neck gold on the Stanislavsky ribbon; neck gold on the Anninsky ribbon; neck gold on the Vladimir ribbon; neck gold on the Alexander ribbon; neck gold on the St. Andrew ribbon."
