Silver, stamping. The original medal is in very good collector's condition. The obverse (obverse) depicts the profile of Alexander III, facing right, a laurel branch and the inscription "IMP. ALEXANDER III". The obverse was designed by A. A. Grilihes (son), the reverse by M. J. Gabe. St. Petersburg Mint. On the reverse is the date of the emperor's reign 1881-1894. It was established on February 26, 1896 by decree of Emperor Nicholas II.in memory of the 51st anniversary of the birth of Alexander III (years of reign: 1881-1894) for awarding persons who served during his reign. The medal was intended to be worn on the chest on the ribbon of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky. Guarantee of authenticity.
