Bronze; stamping. Good collectors condition. The guarantee of authenticity. The medal is made of bright bronze, according to some, a smaller part of the circulation was gold plated. The diameter of 28 mm. On the obverse of the coin depicts the face of Peter the great in profile. On the reverse side are the inscriptions. In the upper part of the coin arc is the inscription "POLTAVA". The main area is a horizontal inscription in Slavonic characters in six lines (quote from the order of Peter I, placed during the battle of Poltava: PETER ABOUT VEDA THAT LIFE is NOT his WAY – WOULD have LIVED ONLY ROSS. Above this inscription, the date "1709", below "1909". There were many variants of the medal that is due to the fact that it permitted the manufacture of coin by private workshops. These options differed from the main draw, mainly, parts of the image. The main circulation was made at the Saint-Petersburg mint in the years of 1909-1910.
