Bronze, gilding; stamping. Good collectors condition. On the obverse of the medal — head-and-shoulders portraits (in three quarters) of Emperor Nicholas II in the form of the 4th life guard rifle Imperial family regiment and the Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich in the barm and the cap of Monomakh. Around the circumference of the coin — beads of alternating dots and dashes. On the reverse side of the medal the inscription: "In memory | of the 300th anniversary | reign | house of Romanov | 1613-1913". The size of the coin — mm. 28 the Guarantee of authenticity.
Memory of the celebrations was the medal, which shows similar portraits of Mikhail Romanov (the founder of the dynasty) and Emperor Nicholas II — the last of its representative. The position of the medal "In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty" was approved by the Emperor on 21 February 1913. Design of the medal was developed by the senior medallist of the Saint-Petersburg mint A. F. vasyutyns'ke. The author of the bas-relief on the obverse side of the medal is sculptor Kurzin M. A. Medals were made of bright bronze. Private firms and workshops by special orders, the medals were cast from gold plated silver and, in rare cases, gold. The medals worn on the chest on the ribbon "stamp" colors — white, orange and black stripes of equal size. Medal awarded:
all persons, consisting of 21 February 1913 on public service in the military, naval, and civil court departments, members of the State Council and the State Duma, the clergy of all denominations; to serve in elected positions in the nobility, rural and urban local governments, civilian and contractor employees of both sexes in government institutions, retired officials of the Navy and civil departments, who had the right to wear a retired uniform, the educational composition of both sexes in the higher, middle and lower public institutions, actors of the Imperial theatres, of the sisters of charity of the Russian red cross society, township heads, chairmen of rural municipality courts, municipal Voitov, village chiefs and relevant officials of the rural municipality or rural municipalities, of individuals to be awarded the highest Military honor;
cadets and pages of special classes; all consisting of 21 February 1913 on the active duty ranks of the army, Navy, separate corps of border guards and gendarmes, police, escort teams and prison guards, as well as representatives of the rural population who participated in the anniversary celebrations in the presence of the Emperor;
all persons who took an active part in the preparation, the device and the celebration of the anniversary of the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty;
medal designers, artisans and workers of the Saint-Petersburg mint produced the medals.
The persons listed in paragraph (2) received medals for free, the rest of the awardees were given a special certificate for the right to wear medals that were purchased for a fee (including private firms and workshops). At the Saint-Petersburg mint in 1913-1914 was minted more than 1.5 million medals. Just to 26 June 1914 at the Mint has received orders for 166 028 2 medals.
