"Chronicle of the war with Japan" — a weekly lavishly illustrated magazine of the Russian Empire. Published during the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905. Founder, publisher and editor — Dmitriy Dubenskiy. From March 1905 until the end of the actual editor was V. A. Apushkin. Each issue of the "Chronicle of the war with Japan" was richly supplied with drawings, paintings, portraits, plans, maps and sketches. The journal have collaborated with P. Belavenets, P. Vagin, al. Vereshchagin, VL. Niedzwiecki, N. Obruchev, P. Rossiev, I. Yuvachev and others, with the help of a group of officers of the General staff of the Russian Imperial army. The artistic part of the magazine was provided by the artists B. Macmansion, M. Yezuchevsky, A. Leo, N. Petrov, N. Pirogov, N. Kravchenko, V. Mazurovsky, N. Samokish and A. Safonov. A correspondent in the theatre of war — captain of the General staff N. L. Galewski. Each issue contained:
