"Machine Gun" ("Shebuyev's Machine Gun") is a Russian literary and artistic satirical illustrated magazine that had a political and anti—government orientation. The magazine "Machine Gun" began to be published by the journalist N. G. Shebuyev on November 26 (13), 1905. The first issue was confiscated, the editor was taken to prison and brought to trial under Articles 103 ("insulting Majesty") and 128 ("insolent disrespect for the supreme power") of the criminal code. The Judicial Chamber sentenced Shebuyev to imprisonment in the fortress for 1 year and decided to stop publishing. The case of the "Machine Gun" served as a prologue to a long series of literary processes at the beginning of the XX century. "Machine Gun" was one of the most popular and interesting literary satirical magazines that appeared at the beginning of the XX century in Russia. In total there were 5 numbers and one additional, "Express". The magazine was briefly revived after the February Revolution of 1917.
