The long-awaited second edition of a very interesting and successful book "Russian bayonet", which was released in 2015. The book is a much expanded, amended and updated monograph dedicated to the subject of bayonets for the Russian three-line rifle OBR. 1891, developed by an outstanding Russian armorer Sergei Ivanovich Mosin.
Significantly increased the number shown in the book of bayonets — as a whole, or in fragments of 153 bayonet (in the first book, it was 62). Supplemented by a section on hallmarks and markings found on the bayonets of the Russian three-line rifle, much augmented and enlarged sections showing an experimental bayonets, bayonets arsenals and workshops, the surrogate and ersatz bayonets of the First and Second World wars. In addition, much attention is paid to bayonets to the three-line produced in other countries. For the first time in domestic arms literature, the book focuses significant attention on the bayonets produced by Finland, Poland. Also shows the hostility (and, in some cases, rifles and carbines) in other countries, such as Hungary, China, Romania, the USA, France, etc.
Expanded and updated with new materials section on the scabbards to the bayonets of the rifles OBR. 1891 Also in the book appeared brand new section — "non-attributed bayonets and curiosities", telling about the mysteries encountered by the authors in the course of collecting material for the second edition of the book. This monograph ends with a small but succinct section on additional devices, giving the option to turn trilinear rifle into a full-fledged multifunctional combat system. This — rifle scissors, mortici, a means of muffling the sound of the shot, tips for throwing grenades, etc. the book is richly illustrated, including unique, previously unpublished photographs, the originals of which were purchased specially for this book. In addition, the book includes rare photos and scans of drawings stored in the archives of the Russian Federation.
The new edition has a volume of 328 pages (against 192 at the first), format A4, 700 copies. The binding is solid. Languages — Russian, English (the first edition was not translated).
