This book is devoted to the history of cold weapons of the Kuban Cossacks and is entirely based on reliable archival documents and unique collections of weapons. The author lists in detail all the samples of bladed weapons that were in service with the Black Sea and Kuban Cossack troops at the end of the XVIII — early XX century, tracing its evolution from statutory samples to arbitrary Caucasian ones. The rearmament of the Cossack troops is considered within the framework of specific historical conditions, which largely determined the appearance of new weapons. The book examines the issues of the state and quality of cold weapons in the Black Sea and Kuban Cossack troops, traces the activities of special military institutions — a military workshop, a military craft school, weapons workshops of military departments and regiments - engaged in the repair and finishing of cold weapons. Special attention is paid to the stamps on cold weapons of Kuban origin. A4 format. The volume is 320 pages. The book is slightly used.
