The book by G. V. Vilinbakhov "Russian banners"

Russian Russian Banners, a book dedicated to the history of banners, their origin and existence in the regiments of the Russian army in the period from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century, was presented in the Great Hall of the Lecture Hall of the State Hermitage Museum at the General Staff on January 30, 2023. The author is the State Heraldmaster, Chairman of the Heraldic Council at the To the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Director General of the State Hermitage Museum for Scientific Work, curator of the State Hermitage's banner collection, Doctor of Historical Sciences G. V. Vilinbakhov. The book was presented by Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, Director General of the State Hermitage Museum.

The scientific work summarizes the extensive material extracted from archival and historical documents, monuments from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum, where the author has been the curator of the collection of banners and military graphics for many years. Of particular value is the unique and diverse illustrative material – rare photographs and drawings of heraldic monuments and military graphics from the Hermitage collection.
