A pair of ciphers "III" of the 1914 model from the shoulder straps or epaulettes of the RIA pilot

An original and extremely rare pair of ciphers in excellent condition. In February 1914, the same Roman numerals were established for the ranks of aviation detachments subordinate to the army corps, as for the officers of the corps headquarters. Later, Roman numerals were introduced for army headquarters, but the aviators, judging by the photo, continued to wear the old codes until the end of the war. Brass, gilding, stamping.
