Bronze, gilding; stamping. This symbol is an emblem Erivansky province, established in 1878 "in Lazareva shield silver rock, topped by a gold Russian cross. The shield is crowned with an Imperial crown and surrounded by Golden oak leaves connected by St. Andrew band". The size of the badges 28*45 mm. the original hold-down mustache. Perfect collectible condition. Details of uniforms and insignia of the police even the early twentieth century are very rare, recommended!
Police forces in the Russian Empire XVIII – beginning of XX centuries was divided into the Metropolitan police, city police and County equestrian police custody. The General distinctive feature of their uniform was the image of the respective cities, counties, or districts, worn on headdresses. County mounted police guards took on the role of policing in rural areas and, unlike the city and Metropolitan police, was worn on the headgear of a rebar, the coat of arms of the province and had not silver and gold metal appliance.
