At the turn of the XIX and XX centuries Military Department was given the most extensive attention to the development of the corporate spirit of military units, which contributed to raising the combat cohesion and, ultimately, moral stamina of the troops. An important element of regimental corporate solidarity was the regimental history and closely related regimental anniversaries, regimental marches and regimental badges. Development of corporate spirit was facilitated by the fact that in the 1890s — 1900s, many military units celebrated the 100 - and 200-year anniversaries of the founding. For writing a regimental history of one of the officers of the regiment had the right to take a leave of absence for a year, and the regimental anniversaries in this era has turned into a large celebration that even the rich part of the army tried to hold in a big way. An important element of that celebration was the anniversary album, where he listed the milestones of history part was made of illustrated descriptions of the deeds committed by the ranks of the regiment, photographs or drawings of regimental uniforms, banners and regalia in different eras. These albums were given to all the officers of the regiment, as well as "city fathers", where the regiment is quartered, and the guests of honor a regimental anniversary. Albums guard units were a real works of art made of precious metals and jewelry techniques. Army albums were much more modest, but also looked very beautiful and decent. Almost always they were decorated with State emblem (double headed eagle) with a ceremonial headdress, supplemented distinction (to whom such supposed to) and various military attributes. This eagle belongs to the emblems. Judging by the size (45х48 mm) and clasps on the back, he was prednaznachena for the wing cap, in 1881 – 1908 served in the Russian army ceremonial headdress. Interestingly, the original clamps there are no traces of folds, and this suggests that headgear, this coat has never been worn. Material (silver plated brass) suggests that this emblem – with officers ' headgear and, most likely, belonged to the cavalry or Cossack units, who had a white metal device. Neatly soldered on the back plate with a rectangular hole allows us to identify the object as belonging regimental album: on the uniforms, this design was not used, but for albums and greeting addresses of such attachment, on the contrary, typical. The plate is gently passed in a special groove cut in the skin, which was tight fitting cover, and then recorded any of the invoice detail of the decor, which had on the back of the clasps or screw mount. The manner of performance characteristic of small workshops, which, as a rule, and comply with such orders. Very interesting and very rare item.
