German penknife with gold handle

585 gold, steel. The original knife is in excellent collectible condition. Folded length 72 mm. Weight 25.3 grams. With blades made by the famous knife company «J.A. HENCKELS ZWILLINGSWERK». One of the oldest Solingen companies, founded in 1731 by Johann Henkels for the production of cutlery and candelabra. Subsequently , the company was inherited by Johann Abraham Henkels Sr. (1771-1850), whose son Johann the younger was registered as a manufacturer in 1836, and his nephew Johann Gottfried Henkels as a merchant. In the XIX – first half of the XX century, the company also produced knives and edged weapons of military designs, including for export. Guarantee of authenticity.
