During the general reform of the army cavalry in 1882, dragoon regiments received dark green uniforms with cuffs of the same color, tailored with a toe. To distinguish the officers from the lower ranks, an edge made of applied cloth was sewn on the top of the cuff, and a buttonhole was sewn against the toe. In most regiments, it was made of a special pattern of braid, the so-called buttonhole. The color of the braid (gold or silver) corresponded to the color of the buttons on the uniform. Cuffs of this type survived the reform of the dragoon uniform in 1897 and were replaced only in 1907 by cuffs of colored cloth with an embroidered buttonhole, over which a uniform button was attached. Both cuffs are in excellent condition and are rarely on sale. Guarantee of authenticity.
