An original and extremely rare uniform in almost excellent collector's condition. Dark green lapel–cut uniforms resembling infantry ones, but with cape cuffs (cavalry type) and with guards buttonholes on the collar and cuffs were assigned to two Guards Dragoon regiments - the Dragoon Life Guards and the Horse Grenadier Life Guards. The first of them was supposed to have a silver device, the second – a gold one. After the introduction of "Russian-cut" uniforms in 1882, the lower ranks often ordered uniforms of the same pattern at their own expense, the same as in the reign of Alexander II, which explains the dark green color of the cloth and some deviations in the cut of the sides, cuffs and rear pocket flaps. The non-combatant team, unlike the combatant lower ranks, was not supposed to have a lapel (therefore, there are no thread loops on the uniform to fix it), epaulettes and epaulet counter-shoulder straps. Size 46-48. Guarantee of authenticity.
