Description

Special uniforms for those with court rank, was developed in the late 1800s, Finally, the costume court officials emerged in the second half of the nineteenth century. Dark-green uniforms with red collars and cuffs were decorated with gold embroidery special pattern, and ceremonial headdress they were served a three-cornered hat, worn "from the field", i.e., the corner forward. Not later than the 1830s hats court took on the appearance, preserved until 1917, which was the same for all men regardless of rank and position. The hood and the field was made of black felt of the highest quality. Hat peculiarly molded on the blank so that the fields are curled up, forming a triangle. The edges of the fields were decorated with a special lace with scalloped edges. In the corners of the hat were attached silver tassels with fringe, which were added black and orange silk thread. Right field was attached badge and a black moire outlet silver rim, embroidered with gold thread and silk narrow orange stripes. On top of cockade was placed twisted buttonhole gold: harnesses, buttoned state coat of arms. In General, the headpiece resembled the ceremonial hat of the higher civil officials (which had officials from the state Councilor and above), but distinguished by a plume of black ostrich feathers instead of white and ties black wide silk stripes, trimmed with gold lace a distinctive pattern. This hat is fully consistent with what has been described. Petulant, made of white huskies, lining made of white moiré, which is a gold embossed stamp of the manufacturer "KATKOV MOSCOW". The manufacturer's site suggests that a hat most likely was ordered for had court rank, but always in St. Petersburg there lived and visited the yard from time to time. Despite its venerable age, the subject was quite well preserved, minor restoration felt. Hats of court officials in this state, and even fully equipped, these days, are extremely rare.
