Description

An original and extremely rare photograph in satisfactory condition. The size is 110*170 mm. The photo shows officers of the 27th Infantry regiment and, probably, its commander Bogdanovich Sergei Ilyich, awarded the St. George weapon (clearly visible in the photo) on March 9, 1915 "For the fact that in the battle on August 27, 1914, near the city of Tomashev, commanding a regiment that was part of the left section of the division, personally leading by fighting, he captured the most important part of the enemy on the Maidan massif." Sergei Dmitrievich Mikhno, commander of the 7th Infantry Division, is sitting next to the colonel. Considering that Mikhno was also awarded the St. George's Arms on March 9, 1915, it can be assumed that the photo was taken just for this occasion. Guarantee of authenticity.
