Reserve regiments were formed in the deep rear, and their function was to prepare trained reinforcements to the front part. The training team prepared non-commissioned officers, i.e. Junior command staff; organizational command was a company commanded one of the officers of the regiment. The training course lasted six months, but in time of war could be reduced. In the reserve regiments were often appointed experienced officers, veterans, because of the injured became unfit for military service. This category appears to be over, and was head of the training team Ivan Yakovlevich Stanislavsky who owns the photo. It's safe to assume that he sits in the center of the first row; the rank of officer is unfortunately unknown, the data about him in all publicly available databases on the officer ranks are not yet available. It shoes – high shoes with canvas tops lace-up leather souske in 1917, was the last word in military fashion, also very comfortable in hot climates. On the Mat you can consider the inscription "To the memory of the training team of the 7th Western. ... regiment... Ivan Yakovlevich I... November 1917. Samarkand". On the belt of one of the soldiers (apparently orderly) you can see the bayonet from the rifles of foreign (presumably French system Gras), which was received in the rear part. Such group shots in our days are extremely rare. Size 200*250 mm Guarantee of authenticity.
