Postcard format. The shape depicts a typical soldier of the final period of the First world war. Being drafted into reserve regiments, most of them do not have time to get to the front and played an important role in the events of the February and later the October revolution. The characteristic sign of the times – the badge, the Central part which is marked in red in the "revolutionary fashion". The most interesting detail photos of the badge on the chest of a soldier. The only known regimental insignia, identical to the lower part of the badge, it is a sign 5th Kiev Grenadier Tsarevich regiment, established on 17 APR 1908, which allows to accurately attribute shown in the photo.
