The 59th Artillery Brigade was formed in July 1914 on mobilization in Tambov, from a frame allocated by the 7th Artillery Brigade. 06.08.1914 - became part of the 9th Army being formed (North-Western Front) 12.09.1914 - the brigade, as part of the 59th Infantry Division, was included in the 10th army being formed (North-Western Front). (PSZf19) 09/23/1914 - The 59th Infantry Division is subordinate to the Commander of the 1st Army (North-Western Front). (PSZf22) By 08.10.1914, the 59th Infantry Division entered the garrison of the Grodno fortress, which was transferred to the 10th Army (North-Western Front). (PSZf33) 30.04.1915 - the brigade as part of the 59th Infantry Division is included in the 36th Army Corps being formed (North-Western Front).
