Cabinet-portrait. The engineer is dressed with casual – coat "civilian casual" with black velvet lapels with crimson edgings. On the lapels embroidered in gold thread one lumen reinforced and three asterisks, that denotes the rank of a collegiate Secretary. On the nature of the service indicate lapel emblem in the form of crossed axe and shovel; the same valve is engraved on the uniform buttons. On the right (from the image) side of the chest visible sign graduated from the Institute of civil engineers – a silver double-headed eagle in a wreath with a shield in the form of a Peltier, on which is engraved an axe, a spade and a square. This sign was approved in 1883, and the right of wearing it was awarded have graduated from the Institute course successfully, with the rank of a collegiate Secretary (X class table of ranks). Apparently, photos are confined to graduation and arrival to the place of service.
