A pair of original and quite rare shoulder straps in excellent collector's condition. The concept of "consisting of a type of weapon" meant officers who were on active duty, but who did not hold any military position. Usually such officers served in headquarters, various kinds of military establishments. The phrase "listed by type of weapon" usually referred to officers who served outside the military, but with the same officer rank, for example, in the police or in civilian departments. The difference between those who were or were numbered in the cavalry was gold shoulder straps with a red field and a gap, framed by dark green edging, but without a number or monogram. The rank of lieutenant colonel by type of weapon was usually assigned to the district military chiefs, the analogues of the current military commissars. Guarantee of authenticity. It's rare.
