Cloth, brass, gilding. Metal-scaled epaulettes were awarded to cavalry officers, and a field without stars combined with a thin fringe indicates the rank of colonel. The epaulettes are well preserved, the only drawback is the partially lost gilding on the round part of the field. Guarantee of authenticity. Rare. The 5th Kargopol Dragoon Regiment is one of the oldest cavalry regiments of the Russian army, formed on 05.05.1706 or, according to other sources, in 1707, as Colonel Ivan Musin-Pushkin's dragoon regiment, in Moscow from monastic raznochintsy.
