835 silver, enamel. A well-executed modern replica of a rare ring. Only 1 pc is available. The size is 22.5 mm. The central medallion of the bill of lading. The medallion depicts the flag of the Rising Sun, the military banner of Japan. This flag was used as a symbol of success wishes, and was first used as a military banner at the end of the Edo period (since 1854). On January 27, 1870, it was adopted as the national flag as part of the policy pursued during the Meiji period. Currently, the flag continues to be used by the naval and, in a modified form, the Land Self-Defense Forces of Japan, and its image is periodically found on a number of goods and advertising posters. However, due to the fact that during World War II, the flag was used by Japanese troops during the conquest and occupation of Southeast Asian countries, South Korea and China, it is considered a symbol of Japanese militarism and imperialism, and its use is considered offensive, sometimes it is compared with the perception of the swastika in the Western world.
