The BMW R-35 is one of the most famous classic German motorcycles. It was produced from 1937 to 1940. After World War II, production was restored in Eisenach. Before the war, 15386 motorcycles rolled off the assembly line, and after its end — about 34,000 more. The motorcycle has proven itself to be a simple, reliable and unpretentious device. He was popular with the military, ambulance, police and other services. The BMW R-35 was equipped with a single-cylinder four-stroke overhead valve engine M69 (and 235). All engine power was transferred to the rear wheel by a manual four-speed manual transmission with a gimbal transmission. The shift lever resembled an automobile. The clutch is single—disc, dry. The undercarriage of the R-35 consisted of a steel frame, a front suspension with a telescopic fork and shock absorbers, and a rear rigid suspension. The rear and front brakes were drum brakes with a diameter of 180 mm.
