Browning M1903 is a self—loading pistol developed by J. M. Browning for arming the army and police forces. This weapon was manufactured by the Belgian company Fabrique Nationale D'armes de Guerre Herstal (FN). The design of this pistol turned out to be very successful and it was adopted in Belgium, Holland, Peru, as well as some other countries. In the period before the outbreak of the First World War, 38 thousand pistols were produced in Belgium, of which 10 thousand were delivered to Sweden and 8 thousand to The Ottoman Empire. In Sweden, it was adopted under the name 9 mm pistol m/07, 10,000 Belgian pistols were purchased before the outbreak of the First World War, another 89,230 units were produced in 1917-1942 at the Huskvarna arms factory (Husqvarna Vapenfabriks A. H.).
